The Davis Tru Trac is designed for the Ford F53 chassis with a V8-V10 & Workhorses W16, W18, W20, W22 & W24, GM & Kodiak 4500 & 5500 chassis.
Ford’s Original Goal
When Ford made the F53 Class A motorhome, their goal was a very soft ride with a leaf spring suspension. They accomplished their goal, but any time you aim for a soft ride, you also risk swaying and handling problems.
That’s exactly what happened with the F53. The springs are very long on the side of the chassis. With their big rubber bushings and spring eyes, the axle is free to move back and forth on the front of the motorhome.
When you hit a rut with a Ford, typically the front end goes one way while your coach goes another.
How It Worked At Henderson’s
To stop the problem, Henderson’s Line-Up installed a Safe-T-Plus, but the results weren’t good because the motorhome suspension fought the Safe-T-Plus.
After we installed a Davis TruTrac Bar — and then installed Safe-T-Plus, it worked great.
Made Of Good Stuff
The Davis TruTrac is cadmium plated and uses polyurethane bushings for long life.
Warranted
The Davis carries Roadmaster’s one-year limited warranty to the original purchaser.
